Villa Kerasia - Beautiful countryside inn with pool - a most pleasing country house standing on the hillside. Even on the first visit it feels like seeing a trusted old friend again. Eight rooms, swimming pool, wonderful food and fantastic views in the wine-making heartland of Crete. Between Heraklion and the south coast; 35-50 minutes from the airport or Matala or Knossos. Advantageously located both near the town centre and few steps from the sandy beach. All 19 rooms well finished, with direct sea views. Swimming pool, lots of flowers, parking spaces for guests. Dorovinis Country Houses. Two of the finest independent gorgeous stone-built houses with Libyan sea views. A large three-bedroom house (Pasiphae) and a one-bedroom 'honeymooner’s nest' (Kallirhoe), 100 m from each other, in the old Anatoli village. Elia traditional inn - Skillfully converted from the remains of an ancient building on a hillside between Chania and Kissamos. Rooms have a feel of a period house with traditional decor. A pool to swim in while enjoying the same views. Garden and orchard. A "Parador" in Crete perhaps. Available hamam & sauna. Hotel Porto Loutro - For its simple, bright & airy rooms with soul-enriching views, wonderful friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Choice of on-the-beach or overlooking the village buildings - both have a bar with breakfast served in wonderful day-welcoming settings. To cap it all it's in the magical and unique Loutro. Casa Delfino - Favourite select small hotel in Crete. Just one street back from the water front of the old Venetian port in Chania, and the quieter for it, this is a gem. Carefully restored, glorious individual room decor. A collection of 21 rooms and suites. Atmosphere - refined, relaxed comfort. No restaurant (irrelevant in Chania - there are so many within a few steps), but breakfast is served at the bar seating area or in the wonderful courtyard. Perfect base for a visit to Chania. Akti Rooms - A modern well finished group of studios, as "on the beach" as you would wish. The place is simple but well furnished and every room has a sea view balcony. Open May to October. It's in Xerokambos where the nearest building is always 250 metres away or more. The beach is never crowded. Car advised as these "250 metre" distances soon add up if you wish to vary the place (and there are but a few) you choose to go to eat. Simple but polished. Price category: H5/H4. Komis Studios Keratokambos. Built with a passionate desire to create something special and environmentally sympathetic and friendly. Wonderful traditional furnishings and colourful garden frontage.
