Chania

Host to the beautiful Venetian harbour with its waterfront tavernas, numerous good restaurants, unique accommodation in restored and modern buildings, intriguing narrow shopping streets. Nearby beach, resort and water park areas heading west. The Lefka Ori mountains, Elafonisos (white sand and desert island feel) explorable from here, along with many intriguing villages. Good shopping opportunities for handicrafts, clothes and more. Smaller - more easily digested museums!
